Humana Health Insurance Extra Benefits

Most Medicare Advantage programs offer additional benefits, such as fitness, teeth, and vision, as well as hearing aids, over-the-counter medications, and dietary benefits. These benefits are very common. By 2022, 95% of Medicare Advantage programs also offer telehealth benefits.1

Many of Humana’s Medicare Advantage programs, including Dual-eligible Special Needs programs, offer dental and visionary benefits, over-the-counter medications, fitness programs, and post-hospital meals.

Humana provides an Insulin Savings Program in some of their MAPDs and Independent Doctoral Plans. The plan includes the cost of diabetes medication at $ 35 with a 30-day supply of certain insulin.

Humana offers Medicare members other health services, including:

  • Go365, a program that rewards members for engaging in healthy behavior
  • SilverSneakers, a qualifying advantage with a variety of programs
  • Healthy Foods cards for members who specialize in Special Needs are eligible twice to purchase healthy food and beverages
  • Humana Well Dine, a food delivery program for hospital members recovering or managing a chronic condition

Humana supports members with complex health needs through care management and assists in the management of chronic diseases. Some members of Medicare Advantage can get Humana At Home services from a personal care manager who helps people stay independent at home.

Humana’s customer service is available by phone or by requesting an appointment online. Phone support for Medicare programs is available seven days a week between 8 am and 8 p.m. ET at 800-457-4708.

For Special Needs Programs, call 888-328-6498 between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET, seven days a week.

Members and prospective members can obtain information and perform certain functions such as obtaining forms or paying for online premiums. Humana members can chat with customer service and download the MyHumana app, which allows members to view linked information and benefits, view their membership ID card, view claims, and find providers.

Humana also offers to answer basic questions on Twitter seven days a week, between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. To protect privacy, you may not be able to resolve personal questions or problems using social media.
